About the Francos
The Francos de Montréal is a non-profit organization created by Alain Simard, Guy Latraverse and Jean-Louis Foulquier. Its aim is to promote and encourage the dissemination of French-language music and to bring together artists from all over the French-speaking world. The event also contributes to the quality of life of Montrealers, the international reputation of their city, and the development of its culture, economy and tourism.
The Francos, in 10 key dates:
Presented in September in the Spectrum, the debut edition of Les FrancoFolies de Montréal, created by Alain Simard, Guy Latraverse and Jean-Louis Foulquier features a program of 15 shows. For the opening of the Place des Festivals, the outdoor site hosts a unique program featuring 12 major free events, including performances by Corneille, Jorane, Khaled, Les Colocs, Tiken Jah Fakoly, Stefie Shock and Dubmatique.
